Empire Chicago Nightlife strongly believes in the strength and courage of women. We’d like to present a special event dedicated to the empowerment and enlightenment of individuals who have been diagnosed with ovarian and/or breast cancer.
EMPIRE Presents: The White Album – A Photography & Art Exhibition by Luis Anthony Chavez
When: Friday, October 21st – 6pm – 12am
Where: THE CHICAGO ART DEPARTMENT, located at 1932 South Halsted Avenue
Luis Anthony Chavez, a high fashion photographer will be showcasing his exclusive portrait photography along with a coffee table book including art based on washed out color schemes and artistic concepts.
The White Album is a collection of imagery containing everything from fashion & couture, to food and portrait photography. The exhibition is tilted “The White Album” due in part to its color scheme and washing out of color, leaving behind cool tones.
A coffee table book with a limited run will be created containing all mounted work as well as alternate imagery and behind-the-scenes photographs. A special chapter within the book will be created (The Pink Chapter), this special chapter will contain images of women currently afflicted, survived, or have had a family member pass from breast cancer. During the opening night, 100% of book sales will be donated to Bright Pink.
Plus lots of great raffles!
